“The Rolls Royce of Facials”: A Step-by-Step Review of the Hydrafacial
Is Hydrafacial as good as it sounds? Healthista Ksenia Lavrentieva says it’s a ‘Rolls Royce facial’ and shares her step-by-step review
The Hydrafacial Treatment is the perfect treatment for those who want to clear their face, body , and scalp.
Hydrafacial is the tech-infused facial everyone talks about. It’s said to remove three to five year from your face with no downtime. You can get it done even on your lunch hour! The effects will last for days.
It not only cleanses, peels (exfoliates and resurfaces), extracts and hydrates (removes dirt and infuses the skin with intense moisture, quenching its thirst), but also detoxifies, protects, and rejuvenates skin, and leaves antioxidants and amino acids active for up to eight hours afterwards, maximising the glow.
Hydrafacial is said to remove three to five years from your face
It uses Vortex Technology to simultaneously draw out impurities while infusing the skin with a premium anti-aging cocktail. This is all clinically tested, leaving you skin hydrated, revitalised, and nourished.
HydroPeel (r) Tips are spiral-shaped tips that, when used with HydraFacial’s proprietary vacuum technology, produce a vortex to remove impurities and deliver hydrating solutions.
Fun Fact: This technology was originally developed to treat smoke inhalation lung injury. The same technology is used today on the face, body, and scalp.
Hydrafacial steps:
The Hydrafacial was a complete experience for me. My neck and decollete were first exfoliated, then hydrated. Then, red light therapy was applied to the same areas.
It was then onto my face, a lymphatic drain technique using vacuum technology, which felt super-relaxing.
Then, a BetaHD exfoliation was performed to remove all of the creams, debris, and free radicals that had built up on the skin. This is what gave you the post-treatment glow.
The final step is the hydration infusion, which is the moisturising component. This leaves the skin plump and firm.
The gunk is removed from your skin.
Depending on the type of skin and your needs, they can use different boosters. These boosters range from anti-aging retinol to rosacea healer infusions. Red light therapy is then used to seal in the treatment and reduce redness.
Antiox-plus is a peptide and hyaluronic acids product. The final step was to add an antiox booster.
Then we exfoliated and hydrated the lips and eye area.
The best part of this treatment for me is seeing all the gunk being sucked from your skin. It is very satisfying.
The colour can range from yellow to cloudy lemon, and contains all kinds of little floaty bits, including pollution, make-up, and product buildup due to clogged creams, oils, and other products that have blocked your pores.
I am now officially a Hydrafacial Gunkie Junkie.
What are the results?
It was like a miracle and unlike anything I have ever experienced.
This treatment is the best! The results of this treatment are amazing and well worth the money, regardless of your skin type and age.
I’m sure my skin will look amazing for the next few days. I’ve already booked
